Lack of Democracy Breeds Terror

215 Iranian intellectuals have signed an open letter to American intellectuals:

"The consequence of the Bush administration's Middle East policies has severely distorted the image of America in this region. Today's America is offering us interrogation instead of interaction, monologue instead of dialogue, arrogance instead of communication and techniques of torture instead of democracy."
